Bhavya Gandhi – a name which rings a bell in all ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasmah‘ fans has his own YouTube page named ‘Bhavya Gandhi Films‘. With just two videos, he has garnered more than 50000 subscribers and an impressive 3.5 million combined views. However, all his fans and followers are curious to know about his future plans, ever since he quit the show over creative differences.
His recent video titled ‘Fidget Spinner‘ has managed to grab a huge amount of views, all thanks to the innovative concept with a sweet little message at the end. With this upload, he has set foot in an open field with huge scope for expansion.
Our team at OnPlay news spoke to Bhavya regarding his future plans and many other topics. Here are some of the excerpts from the interview.
Q: Why did you choose YouTube as a platform for your videos?
Bhavya: After Taarak Mehta, I wanted to grow as an actor. However, this project was not planned as such and I find YouTube to be the most easily accessible platform for everyone. There is a huge scope for content to be recognized and appreciated on YouTube.
Q: You’ve become synonymous with the name ‘Tappu’ and you had a huge fan following when you were in the show. However, YouTube has a limited audience and outreach. What difference did you find in the two platforms? Do you follow any YouTube Channels?
Bhavya: TV clearly has a large outreach, but YouTube as a platform has a great potential. I had never planned to start my own YouTube channel, but things somehow fell into place. However, I haven’t been able to follow any YouTube channels so far.
Q. With just two videos, you have managed to get a huge number of subscribers and views on your content. Did you ever expect to get such a good response from the audience?
Bhavya: It feels good to know when your work is appreciated. But, I never expected such a huge response on the videos. I’m glad the video is going viral.
Q. Are you open to doing bold and abusive content in the future?
Bhavya: I don’t think there should be any constraints or limitations as far as acting is concerned. I truly believe that an actor should be open to doing any kind of roles in any form of medium. Be it YouTube, TV, movies or theater.
Q. People are loving the trailer of your upcoming film. Any message for your fans?
Bhavya: I’m glad they are liking the trailer. I hope they like the movie too and I hope I keep entertaining them for years.
Bhavya’s answers to our questions were short, crisp and honest. After a successful stint on television, Bhavya has shifted his focus to other platforms, and we wish him the best for his future projects.
