Dice Media, the Pocket Aces channel has brought up some interesting stuff for the home-grown audiences. Their most successful web series, Little Thing, that starred Mithila Palkar and Dhruv Sehgal was picked up by Netflix by the time they hit Season 2. They dropped the first episode of their new web series, Home Sweet Office on 27TH February which is in association with Amazon.in, which is its first online association with any digital story teller
Plot of ‘HOME SWEET OFFICE’
It is a fun light-hearted show where family dynamics meet workplace dynamics, boundless ambition meets day-to-day nothings, and a buzzing start-up meets a laid-up family business. The web series is about two cousins, Shagun and Adhira, setting up a livelihood by being wedding planners. One of the first clients they get is Adhira’s ex-boyfriend, Akhil. Both the problem – that of setting up an ex-boyfriend’s wedding, and the concept – planners – are first world, and this could be the tone of the series going ahead. Its going to be a 5-episode series airing every Wednesday.
Cast of the series
The two lead protagonists are played by Adhira Agarwal (popular digital face Barkha Singh) and Shagun Agarwal (Malayalam film actor Isha Talwar). Barkha Singh has starred in Girls on Top, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Love by Chance. She’s also a popular MTV VJ and is currently hosting the game show, Loco. Isha Talwar is a south Indian actress who has starred in Tollywood Films and was also seen in Bollywood films Tubelight and Kaalakaandi. The father is played by veteran actor Yogendra Tiku, mother by Shabnam Vadhera and brother Pranay Manchanda of Baked fame.
